Quilt for Puddles

I have bought some organic fair traid fabric to make puddles a patchwork quilt. I love hexagon quilts. Here are a few that I am using for imspiration. Ok you only get that top picture as blogspot photo uploader is being silly. But that was my favotire picture of the lot any way so its not so bad!

Today I came home from Ramsgate visiting Roro, it was so great to see her, we cuddled up together on the sofa last night and watched a documentary about reliquerys. (reliquary, damn it only one letter out!) It was interesting, I didnt know the crown on thornes was in france, If I ever visit france i will make sure to visit it, Also the king at the time that the crown came to france, cut of thornes and sent to veriouse people to say thank you. One was put in to a locket covered in amythist and used as a birthing amulet. I loved this idea and may make a birthing amulet for my next birth. I could use the comIfort.

I miss Roro alot and worry when she talks of seeing Mike soon, I know shes 87 and I know every one dies some time, but she was ment to live forever, shes always been there, I can't imagin her not being here :( . I made sure I gave her two long hugs befor I left and told her that I loved her many times.

On my train back I finnished knitting Puddle's Sling to carry his baby doll around it. I hope he likes it, even if it gets little use I enjoyed knitting it and my knitting had vastly improved. I shall tackle a jumper for him next.

When I arived back Puddles was more interested in the train I arived on than that I was home! We played in the garden when we got home, we played with the sand pit, I was sieving sand on to his arm which he enjoyed. Puddles wanted the skate board but its holding down the plastic bag that is the lid to out compost bin at the moment so he couldnt have it, but we played with his trike instead. There are lots of strwaberys now, I must pick them tomorow for tea.

Tooth Part one

I shall update my blog about our holiday in the next few days but for now I just want to get today down on digital paper.

Puddle continues to be a bundle of loud excitable energy. He is picking up words fast, todays new word is "shoe" and he points at every ones shoes.

He spent alot of today with Grannie and Grandad, Grandad taught him how to use a hose to water the garden which he loved alot except when it splashed back and hit him!

He is getting more and more frustrated and angry when Ben or I leave the room, or when he can't go outside. Yesterday I let him out and he headed off on his own to Ben's folks house! I ofcourse followed and brought back a very cross child when we found out they hand'nt returned home yet!

Today Ben repotted some runner beans that had out grown their pots, they are now repotted with bambo canes to be tied too. I am SO looking forward to spagettied runner beans!

I took the train on my own to the hospital today for my pre-op assesment as I am having my wisdome tooth out under anathetic tomorow. I was told for the next 24 hours after I come round, I cant do among other things, use a kettle, lift a child, or sign legal documents!

Ben dug out his claranet today, and Innes sort of got the idea, he put it in his mouth and hummed and danced!

Food! Trying a bit of healthy eating here, Tofu marinated in soy sauce, garlic, lemon grass, spring onions, honey, lime juice, and some chicken stock and raman noodles, with spinnage leafes thrown in at the last second :D

I loved it, will deffinatly be making it again soon! Innes wouldn't eat it, but did then eat a stick of chalk, oh dear.....
